Testament, I) letztwillige Verordnung: testamentum. – tabulae testamenti; im Zshg. auch bl. tabulae (die Tafeln, das Material samt dem darauf Geschriebenen). – ultima voluntas. voluntas mortui (der letzte Wille eines Verstorbenen). – ein falsches T., falsum testamentum; falsae tabulae. – das Recht, ein T. zu machen, testamenti factio: ein T. machen, testamentum facere (im allg.); testamentum nuncupare (indem im Beisein von Zeugen die einzelnen Artikel des Testaments laut angegeben werden); testamentum conscribere (ein T. aufsetzen): nachdem man ein T. gemacht hat, sterben, testato decedere: ohne ein T. (gemacht zu haben) sterben, intestatum od. intestato decedere: er hatte kein T. gemacht, es war kein T. von ihm vorhanden, eius testamentum erat nullum: jmd. ins T. setzen, scribere alqm in testamento: im T. verordnen, bestimmen, daß nicht etc., testamento cavere, ne etc. – II) die Urkunden der alten und neuen Religion, s. Bibel. – das alte, neue T., testamentum vetus, novum (Eccl.).
