Grab, sepulcrum (jeder Ort, wo einer begraben liegt). – bustum (Ort, wo ein Toter verbrannt [1158] u. beerdigt wurde; dann Grab, Grabstätte übh.; auch bildl., wie pestis od. pestis ac pernicies, von einer Person od. Sache, die einer andern zum Verderben gereicht, z.B. Piso, bustum rei publicae, bustum legum).tumulus (Grabhügel). – jmd. zu G. tragen, alqm efferre, auch mit dem Zus. funere (auch bildl., z.B. rem publicam); alqm sepelire (bestatten; auch bildl., z.B. cum Genucio unā mortuam ac sepultam tribuniciam potestatem: und sep. dolorem): jmd. zu G. begleiten, geleiten, exsequias alcis comitari; exsequias alcis funeris prosequi: jmd. ins G. legen, corpus alcis sepulcro od. tumulo inferre. – ins G. sinken, mori (sterben). – aus dem G. aufstehen, steigen, s. auferstehen. – am Rande des G. – stehen (schon mit einem Fuße im G. stehen, schon einen Fuß im G. haben), capulo od. morti vicinum esse. – jenseit des G., post mortem. – etw. geht mit jmd. zu G., cum alqo moritur alqd; od. alqd cum alqo exspirat (z.B. res publica): jmd. noch im G. lieben, alqm etiam mortuum amare od. diligere.
